In a survey from ATYM Market Research that's reported on by HubSpot, we see that not only are 85% of polled internet users on Facebook, but almost 50% of them also have a Twitter account and visit these sites daily. Meanwhile, on a worldwide scale, Statista tells us that social media users have now surpassed 2.3 billion in number, with many projections placing that number well over three billion by 2020.

Those are some significant statistics, and marketers are paying attention to them, as over 90% of B2B marketers in North America regularly use social media in their marketing efforts. However, social media is not, and cannot be, the end-all-be-all for marketers. As vital as a strong social media presence is, it will quickly lose its luster if you don't have a well-designed and mobile-optimized company website to drive your social media audience toward.
